Canada has a very small population and less cultural diversity than the US.

It doesn't really have less cultural diversity than the US, it's actually the other way around. The US has more people, but percentage wise more Canadians are immigrants, come from a wider variety of countries, speak more languages, etc

Like Vancouver is visibly more ethnically mixed than Seattle

That’s not what I mean. I mean the differences between, for example, Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal are less significant that the differences in, for example, NYC, LA, and Miami. Also Canada is factually less ethnically diverse than the US, although they do have a higher percentage of immigrants.
