Idk if yall are ready to hear this but there is absolutely a reading of PJO where Selina and Clarisse were sapphic for each other. I’ll explain with spoilers for the first series (in case anyone is somehow new) in the comments

Their story mimics that of Achilles and Patroclus so exactly. A & P are probably THE MOST well known queer ship in the entirety of Greek history. The story is: P wears A’s armor to fight the Trojans and convince the Greeks to continue fighting. P gets fatally injured by Hector and dies (possibly in A’s arms depending on narrator). A kills Hector in revenge and drags his body through the city.

This is reflected by how Silena tricks people into thinking she is Clarisse, gets killed fighting the drakon, dies in Clarisse’s arms, then Clarisse kills the drakon and drags its body around.
