I think discover has a decent one but key is to avoid annual fees and get a decent new card bonus

don’t get a capital one because your limit will only be 300 probably and the one i got the first time was so bad it had no perks and the limit was low. amex had been really good for me and its helped me grow my credit score to a 780 and im only 19

Discover is pretty good tbh, I started with that. Easy to understand and I like their app

I was able to get a savor one as my first card and the limit was like 2000. Already had student loans though

You might not get the unlimited right away, if not get the rise, if you use it responsibly it’ll graduate to the unlimited after a year anyways. Same basic benefits -the 3% on dining/groccery

First card was a C1, 2k limit with 500 in the bank (account opened same day), chase gave me 2.7k with a long history and ~15k. Amex denied. It’s all a little crazy

I opened up a bank account with Chase and the same day they offered me the freedom unlimited, I just got the preferred since I was offered it and the bonus was a no brainer

I was saying this for OP because he has no credit. I applied for mine in brand this week and was told that if I didn’t have $ with them I wouldn’t have gotten it (younger than op but solid score based on AU history). Tho for anyone apply for the CFU, apply in branch, extra 50 on the SUB. My mom was the same as you tho, no account even, just walked in and applied, approved right away, preferred. Idk if you have a credit history or a banking history with chase but that might have helped

Yeah, I’ve had a CC for years so that might of helped.

That’ll do it, CFU is hard to get as a first card, I only got is because of my history and $ stored with them, and even then it was a coin toss. Rise is given to almost anyone tho, and like I said it graduated to an unlimited after 12 months, so not bad at all
