The 1Y period of this chart shows little growth and high volatility. Notably; On April 2, a day he called "Liberation Day", Trump declared a national emergency regarding the national trade deficit and announced "reciprocal tariffs" on all countries not subject to other sanctions. A baseline 10% tariff on nearly all US imports took effect on April 5.

Tariff make economy sick. But then it looked like economy got better. But really dollar got sick. I am sad that dollar is sick. Let's hope dollar gets better

I don’t know what to make of it either. I read that those numbers tie into the fed rate so hopefully her firing was to serve trumps goal of getting to 1%.
