I know everybody is sick of hearing about politics on here but I work in a service role that is adjacent to construction. Company manufactures circuit breakers and panels. Our prices have skyrocketed and new construction is way down.
I second this, I just finished my internship in a sourcing role for a very large insulation manufacturer. Construction is way down and product is just sitting 😄

The timeline to increase extraction of copper domestically is not in our favor. These tariffs will almost certainly be gone at the end of trump’s term because there is no chance a republican gets elected once inflation hits. in for a rough 2026

Why is the current administration so hell bent on putting our country behind the rest of the world 🤔

Yea my buddy’s dad works for a plumbing product company and it’s been bad since Trump got elected. Prices on everything are up and companies are scared to invest in infrastructure for short term policy

Yeah but copper billets and such are exempt from the tariffs, it’s just the processed goods. Not saying it’s a good policy but it’s a lot less bad than if the straight metal was tariffed
