One of my main issues with unions is how fucking scattered they are. For them to effectively work against semi-monopolies in the modern day they need to encompass entire companies or better yet entire industries. I’ve worked during strikes before and higher ups would joke about how they’d shut the plant down for 3-4 months if it meant not caving to demands. They can’t eat the loss when all production is halted though.

When the strike failed and they got absolutely nothing guess what they posted on their little facebook though. Lil “we won” post and they got nothing but strike pay for two months and not a single thing they bargained for
