I’ll be starting my junior year in college for a finance degree I have 8k student loans 12.4k in brokerages account 2400 in Roth and about 2k in 401k I want to be a financial advisor any tips I need an internship

Not in finance but just random knowledge check if your school has any funds specifically if your department can help with certifications. If you can get like a CFA, CPA (please research more I don’t know them all) find ones that fit the area you want to be in. I feel like that could help push you. I’m not entirely aware of the time and dedication it takes to get one but if you are able to it could be a good bonus for reaching internships.

Currently in the first month or so of the CFA (Level 1). Most people are saying that it will take around 1000 hours of studying to finish through Level 3. Very rigorous once you get into the later stages.
