Anyone who used to be a big spender and worked on having saving habits? I have a spending personality but I hate living paycheck to paycheck and want to learn spending habits that actually work. I make enough to save, I just don’t bc I spend too much

I used to way overspend on ordering food. Just delete those apps if that’s an issue. Don’t buy clothes unless you absolutely need them. Don’t spend money on going out more than once a week. Worst case make a budget and try to set realistic limits. I only spend like 25k a year and I don’t build out a budget until like January/december

The thing is, I don’t even have food apps, but because I live directly in the middle of the main shopping area in my town, I pass up so many places to eat at on my way home :/ but yeah food is a big one. I go out once a week at most but when I go out, I spend a ton

My budget app empower tracks all my expenses and categorizes them. This year I’m at like 14k spending and I eat a ton of DoorDash/bar food. I would look into apps that tie your credit card, savings, and brokerage accounts into one. They don’t get rights to do transactions just ability to refresh the dollar amount. Gives a lot of insight into my spending/investing
