This is a deeper dive into the "Income Security" category. • 🟦 Retirement • 🟩 Welfare • 🟥 Unemployment • 🟪 Disability The Retirement category has consistently accounted for ~50% of income security federal spending🟥Unemployment is trending down with spikes aligned with recessions 🩵The light blue "Other" is trending up 🟩🟪Welfare and Dissability seem roughly constant around 15% 🟩 seems to increase just before and peak just after recessions. This may be a co-incidence but also may be a good predictor. More research needed
