Check local churches. A church near me does a yearly school supply drive where they give away backpacks full of what you need (filled by grade) for the year +shoes and a free haircut coupon. Have to sign up in advance (so they can purchase enough and in the right size/grade). You don’t need to part of the church, or even Christian.

This is gonna sound fucking stupid, but try asking chat GPT. It can be a FANTASTIC tool for pulling local relevant resources. Might find everything from scholarships to govt program assistance. Lots of resources I’m sure we don’t even know about!

It told me to call 211 and I have they called churches and all and they are out or resources 😭😭 anything helps but no luck

I see that you’ve made an effort with your local churches. Here’s another thing you can try if you don’t mind “airing” this (you shouldn’t if it helps your kids). Facebook post in your town pages, Nextdoor, and Freebie apps
