I owe about 1700 to the hospital. I’m on a $50 a month payment plan, 0% interest. It doesn’t make any sense to pay it all off at once right? I’d have to use my emergency savings, which I’m trying to grow, not shrink

Any loan at 0% should be paid the minimum obviously.

Call their admin and offer to settle with what cash you have.

Not if you’re not in a comfortable place financially. For me I wouldn’t feel the $1700 so I’d just pay it, if that wasn’t the case I’d pay the minimum

Is it 0% forever?

The bare minimum. You would literally be making free money just letting it sit in a hysa

I would do the absolute minimum on any medical bill unless you just don’t want to think about it.

I would probably pay as much towards it as you can per month without infringing on your emergency fund. Whether that’s 75$,100$, or 150$
