op i'm so, so sorry for your loss. i lost my babies recently so i know how you feel—it never gets "easier" but at least over time you will be more assured that they are in a better place (im athiest so im not proselytizing!!). i hope you can find some peace and healing in this time 🫶🫶

a lot of the time the place doing any kind of burial or cremation will do paw imprints or ink prints for you. my 2 childhood cats passed recently and they did imprints included with the burial (it sounds awful to say but that is what happened)

I think the vet did it for him or my mom , he got bit by a snake and when she took him to the vet they wanted to put him down but he lived for 2 days and passed (I wasn’t around for this ) anyways she may have done it during that time but yeah
