Any DSLR and kit lens is better than your phone for quality, and with interchangeable lenses you can shoot from 10mm to 500mm without loosing quality like in an iPhone, better aperture means actual background blur

Trust, it’ll be better. For starting with photography I’d say like get a used or just like a “cheaper” camera for like 200-400, sometimes you can get reaaaally cheap ones like for 100 but those are questionable
