I give them a lot of water and then ignore them all week. If you’re gonna put them somewhere really sunny make sure to let them acclimate

Depends on the fern, plenty of people are prone to overwatering and it leads to fungal/mold growth. Some of them also need to be cut back during winter and left to go into dormancy
