Snake plant. They thrive on neglect and can live through anything, so the low light and shitty humidity of a dorm is easy going for them. I still have my dorm snake plant and her pups

I kept my golden pothos alive with it sitting on top of my dorm fridge. Got almost no light at all. Sometimes it would go like a month with no water too. IDK why or how it lived, but it did.

I have lots of hoya and a couple of philodendrons in my dorm, but pothos or snake plants would probably be easiest to keep in a dorm.

I recommend a spider plant, they usually die from over watering and depending on the coloration look really cool, and if you forget to water them they’ll probably be fine because mines accidentally gone like a month without water before

Jade plant. Pretty and do fine with low light and dorm temp swings and require almost no mantainence
