what do you guys do with your moss poles? Are you supposed to keep them wet? Or just leave them alone?

if you want roots to grow into them, keep them moist. if you just want support for a plant, you can leave them dry! putting a little cup or water bottle with holes on top can help cut down on maintenance if you’re keeping it wet for roots.

The moss poles I got were from Home Depot. It has a plastic film on the inside so the water just goes straight through. Is that normal or should I get better moss poles

soak the moss pole fully in water first, then stake the plant to it. that should help with initial water retention. if you got the ones i’m seeing online, that should work.
