If you want it to grow slower, give it less light and less water— if it keeps growing just don’t give it more poles and let it grow back down

Idk why people are being so rude, but it’s a climbing plant so it’s looking for things to wrap around and climb onto. You can always redirect where you want them to go, it will just look a little chaotic. You can also clip parts of it off with a pair of clean scissors to remove leggy vines or unwanted growth. You can also cut off the tallest part and try to propagate it
