Folks who do their own repotting, how do you store your soil mix? Tips or warnings? I used to use a local plant nursery’s repotting table but I moved for college. I also live in a pretty small apartment 🙃

Low-key I just keep mine in one of my kitchen cabinets sealed tightly

I live in a apartment for college too, I just got a plastic bin from walmart, and store it under my plant stand inside, never dealt with gnats from doing it

i buy reg potting soil and an orchid bark mix with perlite and another organic material, and i put it in a grey tub i bought from dollar tree, and i mixed the whole bag of orchid bark to equal part of soil and mixed it up for a chunky soil mix. i just have it stored in the office closet with the lid on 😊

I feel like these handles are more secure than the ones that just press down

ok yes this is what I was planning on doing! but I was nervous about whether anyone had had pest issues keeping their soil inside. my apartment is pretty cozy (polite word for cramped) so my plant supplies usually get stored in the cubby I’ve made out of the unused bottom of my closet 😩 I do have a little bit of outdoor space but I feel like that might increase the chance of pests

they have one hole on each side of the “handle” in the bin part, but my soil seems untouched even with gnats flying around
