Update: five shinies total, three of which were caught within a 30-minute stretch. Better than nothing!

Unfortunately, the increased chance is only for people who paid the $15 for the ticket :/ I had nearly the exact same luck last year during go fest, except I ended up with 1 shiny each day playing for 9 hours each. This year I got 27 on each day, roughly 3/hr of playtime Even if you bought the ticket, you’d still need to be encountering ~120 Pokémon/hr to average 1 shiny per hour

i did 80 raids this weekend and got only 1 shiny at the end 😭😭

Wild odds the first day were abysmal for everything except unown. Wild odds the second day were on par with last year. Boss raids were dramatically lower I should have 2 or 3 more of each. Only one shiny background :(

I bought the ticket and spent most of both days in high-activity areas. I feel like less of a fool now than I did when I first made the post, but definitely not what I was expecting.

I mean, it is what it is. At least I didn’t end up with nothing. Although I DID almost chuck my phone when my second shiny was a Jangmo-o. 🤣
