Hello! Very new to Pokémon here but I’m currently shopping for my boyfriend’s birthday and Christmas (both in december). So far I’ve gotten ahold of 6 phantasmal single packs and the Phantasmal flames ETB! Is this good or should I continue searching?

I should also add context: he plays the TCG game and collects. He does not resell or scalp (idk if that’s the correct term for it, but he essentially likes to collect and play the game).

I think that’s a great amount, although it doesn’t hurt to have a couple more packs of another set.

Find him his favorite pokemon and get him cards he may not have of that Pokemon! Don’t stop buying packs, but also be mindful of your budget and money as this shit adds up. Also, does he use the code cards in packs? I’ve got a decent bit saved up to give out to people who use them, I surely don’t.
