This is just spitballing but the writings of historians like Josephus, Tacitus, Suetonius, Pliny, Thallus, Lucian, who all confirmed that Jews and Gentiles were worshipping Jesus very soon after his death, so it’s not as though his resurrection became a legend that evolved later. Also all of the disciples who saw him die, also all claimed to have seen him alive and resurrected. They then went on to be martyred for their beliefs. People don’t willingly take torture and die for a lie
