People that solely frame the public’s reaction to Ariana Grande’s emaciated form and ED as bullying are disingenuous. There’s certainly awful bullying and inexcusable comments being made, but most people are genuinely concerned… This woman is dying

Infront of us and I’m seeing people that call themselves fans trying to hide behind “don’t speak on women’s bodies” and “are you happy now?” so that she can stay in the public eye for their enjoyment. The answer for me is yes, I am happy now. Because there’s a chance she is going into recovery and getting help that she needs. I care about that even if that takes years away, even if that means no public appearances or albums. Sadly, that’s not the same for her fans.

it is framed as “concern” and “worry” and is no more than hate speech. open her comments, none of them are “concerned” they are telling her to eat a burger and saying she’s gonna die. there’s very few people that come across actually concerned. it is 1000% bullying and body shaming and regardless, talking about it in ig comments is not gonna help. she knows her body and her size, and if she doesn’t wanna get help, she’s not going to. talking about it does nothing but destroy her mental health

Most of the comments I’ve seen are people questioning why her “team” has her performing concerts back to back when she is clearly sick and unwell.

The people spewing hate speech in her IG comments (which I acknowledged) are not the same people posting concerned. Stop trying to act like that’s the case. It’s not true that it’s very “few” people. A good amount of comments and the public’s reactions are genuine fear, worry, and concern. People’s responses and concern (including social media putting warning notes on her content) has caused her team to make her step back and hopefully go into recovery which would be helping.
