Cancel culture (sometimes) actually grows the issues we try to suppress.

Cancel culture is basically a virtual version of the Salem witch trials. In Salem they became fed up with the accusations and started creating chaos and fear and hysteria which made the town horrible until the Governor shut the trials down. We’re currently in the hysteria part and we’re not going to get out of it until this cancel culture stuff chills tf out.

For an example we’ll use a placeholder “bad belief” (wrong, stupid, harmful, what have u) of denying climate change…. if we find out some influencer/celeb doesn’t believe in climate change…. and we all agree to stop watching them because of it…. they can either self-cancel themselves if they truly feel guilty… or simply shift their target audience

Now there’s a community building specifically for climate change deniers. Other examples are less direct, if someone feel’s they’ll be reprimanded or social exiled for their belief they’ll just make a new social bubble of people in similar situations. The right has been collecting “cancel culture victims” like pokemon cards. And with them they collect their communities… their voting pools.

exactly. i have it on good authority that a lot of the independent votes who voted trump in this last election did so purely for this reason. it all roots back to accelerationists
