I knew about KATSEYE before (had heard their name and knew they were K-Pop inspired) But this ad literally made me do a deep dive on them Watched Pop Stars Academy, got into the music... it was a powerful ad I even walked by a Gap yesterday and stopped in cuz I remembered the ad LOL

Ima be honest I have no idea who Katseye is and have never seen or heard of this GAP ad. The Sydney Sweeney ad was one of the most successful ad campaigns in the last few years. No idea how you could claim GAP “bodied” them

I’d bet money that you didn’t know who Sidney Sweeney was before this either, oh the hypocritical justifications for what was at best a very out of taste blunder on American eagles part of the ad

The entirety of America has been well versed on Sydney Sweeney for the last few years now lol. I don’t think the American Eagle as was out of taste at all. They took the Hollywood it girl and made an ad with her. They’ve done that with a million hot girls before, that’s kinda their MO. Ppl just got upset cuz she has blonde hair and blue eyes and they wanna make something of nothing

Yes, but the timing was perfect to where gap could make bank by making a jeans ad about inclusivity not long after American eagle’s racist ass ad

It was quite literally a play on words making things about race makes you seem racist I hope you know that

The American Eagle ad was so blatantly racist, so I am not “making it about race” IT WAS ABOUT RACE TO BEGIN WITH

And I literally stepped foot inside American Eagle (the first time in many years) during Labor Day weekend to check out their clothes *SHOCKER*

I don’t hate white people, I hate it when white people use their influence to spread hateful rhetoric often targeted towards groups like black people

No it wasn’t it was literally about the jeans being blue it was a play on words, if Sydney Sweeney was black and she said my jeans are black this magically wouldn’t have been racist therefore proving you guys are making it about race when it isn’t

She was using having “good genes” a.k.a white with blonde hair and blue eyes as a selling point for jeans. It frightens me how you can’t wrap your tiny head around that concept

In the ad it leiteraply says “we have good jeans (genes)” like, how much clearer does the nationalist propaganda have to be?

I have the tiny head? You’re literally eating up an ad from mf gap, it’s like when how pedos hate pedos more than everyone else to throw you off the scent of them that’s what racists do, they point out things that aren’t necessarily about race and attempt to make it about that because in their hearts they know it’s wrong
