For some reason when theres a lot of food on my plate i feel pressured to eat it and finish it to "clean my plate" and i feel full and gross and i usually regret it

I’ve noticed I trap myself into it by always “leaving the best bite for last” because I was expected to clean my plate anyway. When I eat the best bites first, I don’t feel like I’m missing out and I try to challenge myself to leave at least one bite of food on my plate.

I do prioritize my best bites, but idk ive either just got to start with smaller porportions or just teach myself that its ok to have food leftover and that its not wasting food

Leaving food on your plate intentionally might be the best start for longevity because it signals the end of the meal and it kind of retrains you
