If you’re not, I’m fairly certain you’re mistaking gentle parenting with permissive parenting

One of the great things about gentle parenting is that it actually does a really good job at teaching kids how to take accountability since it’s focused on reasonable negative consequences for actions rather than harsh punitive consequences, therefore making them less ashamed about doing something wrong and more willing to own up to it and fix it. Permissive parenting is the style where parents just let their kid do whatever with very little pushback
