I mean idk I had my childhood dog for 15 years and he 100% meant more to me than a partner of one or two years

Ohh okay, ig if you put it in that sense, but it’s just crazy to me how if my partner rly actually sees a future with me, idg how they could value her pets more.. bc pets wont live out their whole lifetime with yours, but ig it is a factor that I was never allowed to have mammal pets growing up (although having had smaller ones, rabbits, reptiles, etc) as much as I’ve adored her cats, I just can’t understand how she could love them more than me :/

I think the more likely answer is that she loves you and her cats in completely different ways (HOPEFULLY) but would find it really hard to rank you over them

think about it: if she stopped caring for her cats, they would suffer and die. you are a self sufficient human being. her love means different things to cat vs. boyfriend
