Talk about timeline with them, things that both of you want to do before marriage. Start doing those things so you both know you are ready

Technically you can do it whenever. But I’d personally wait until after college. Like #1 said feeling love isn’t everything. Make sure you’re aligned on important issues: work, kids, how you’d raise them, religion, where you want to live, finances, friends, family, life goals, and experiences. That takes time to figure out. Once all that is sorted and the moment is right THEN propose. But I wouldn’t until then.
