Wrote her a whole good morning paragraph, sent her $20 for lunch since she didn’t have money, told in her in confidence I will always love and care about her, and she STILL questions me by saying “do you even love me?”

that's rough but she clearly has some issues/insecurities to work through, just like you clearly have some issues with her

there’s 2 possibilities: a.) perhaps her love language is different and maybe its worth trying to understand her love language and figuring how which love language she’s more receptive to. or b.) its more to do with her than with you & maybe she struggles with the way she sees her self worth and has a harder time accepting the fact that someone does love and care about her. either way i would approach the situation with compassion but ultimately it’s not your job to fix how she sees herself.

little reminders (texts or whatever) can mean way more than 20 bucks. if she asks you constantly if you still love her just send random short text throughout the day that you love her so she doesn't feel the need to ask

Then you probably did things besides that that made her question if you love her. You only mentioned things that probably did make her feel loved but that doesn’t mean you didn’t do other things that made her feel unloved and confused and hurt that you’re not sharing

Probably not her insecurities, probably an insecurity he created by only sharing the good parts to make himself look good and hiding the ways her hurt her to make her question his sincerity

It’s probably not that she feels unlovable it’s that he did some things that made her question how he feels and then brings up the nice things that he did like she should only remember that. Betrayals can stand out more than niceties and oftentimes people who want to portray themselves as good don’t admit they did wrong ^^ just cuz he did nice things for her doesn’t mean HE didn’t also hurt her. That’s most likely what made her question HIS love. Not something about her or her past.

quite possibly, but I do think the "do you love me" type questions usually stem from insecurity

Yes insecurity, but I’m saying most likely an insecurity the person they’re directed at created
