Do guys find it unattractive when you share your emotional struggles? Like if your girl tells you she’s been struggling and is feeling depressed does that make you want to pull away. Does it ruin the illusion of the “cool girlfriend”? Should we share?

A lot of guys are emotionally anxious. Some might freeze and not really know what to say, especially at first. Others will be elated to have someone they can be open and real with. It’s worth doing. Bottling up isn’t healthy, and being emotionally vulnerable helps you become better communicators

I try but I hesitate bc I start to think I’m being a burden or too much. Or being too vulnerable. I’m afraid to put too much on him

Lord I’ve felt that before, but respectfully that’s super depression talk. Sharing emotional burdens is how you form connection. If he’s a good guy, it will be mutually beneficial for you both. Next time he asks you how your doing, give him the truth - don’t burden yourself by holding it in when he can be a vital part of your support system

My fiancé and I are open. If they’re feeling depressed, I wanna know, I wanna help. I don’t want to be silent
