we did this for 5 months still celebrated valentine's day together and he ended up hooking up with his girl best friend. i don't know your situation but i do know that i've felt 100x better since i stopped doing this. i was the one who went no contact and he never told me about the girl best friend. sometimes they just don't want u moving on before they do. if you guys truly love each other you'll let each other heal and come back to a stronger relationship
