Yes! Honestly they aren’t that bad, speaking as someone who was terrified, and you aren’t graded on them so it’s not like you can fail.

God I hated BCDs but they are important so you see heightened scenarios of what you might run into. Remember to stay level headed they want you to slip up

Most important part of training

i was so nervous for them as a first year but tbh i would MUCH rather do them for all of training, it was where i actually learned something

They are not that bad and you get the chance to learn

Most times you can opt out of scenario’s you feel uncomfortable doing.

We do BCD’s. I really wanted to be an actor for mine. Idk how I’m not tho.

I actually didn’t finish my BCD’s. I had a really bad breakdown in one of them because it was triggering and someone took me to the side to calm down. The only year I actually liked working as an RA😂

Yes and tbh they were corny affff. Really bad stereotypical caricature of a panic attack. Confederate flag in room. Roommate argument. They hype you up for them the worst part is everyone watching but they’re cringing as much as you trust me.

I’m not an RA but the fact that most RAs are so bad at their job the standards gotta be low you’ll be fine

I mean they are also for training new RA’s so the expectations for doing well during them is always going to be low.

It’s a lot more fun as an actor, especially if you get the alcohol or trying to leave onduty prompts

Roommate conflicts, parties, people smoking, suicidal ideation, etc
