they won't all hate you! you will most likely have at least one resident who isn't your biggest fan, but don't let that discourage you. many will love you sincerely, an RA who cried to her HC multiple times because of residents who hated her

some may not like you, but that’s on them. i had a resident who’s roommate claimed they hated me because i told them their facetime call was too loud at 1am. residents will dislike you for all kinds of things, it doesn’t mean you’re a bad RA or anything.

RA’s will always be hated. Part of the reason why I quit. Not to mention how used you get by the RDs and administration.

The residents who are normal people won’t hate you for doing your job because they get it but I’ve learned there are some people who just will hate you for being an RA (usually because they’re the ones causing problems) and I just do not care if they like me. I really love my job but I’m not here to be friends with everyone! Sometimes we have to do things people don’t like but I wouldn’t stress about it because the majority of residents are great and really nice :)
