I’m interested in how other school handle the duty phone. At mine, you hold it for 24 hours. 12Am to 12am. Even in class. Weekends yoi hold it for 36 hrs (Friday 12am to Saturday 12pm or Sat12pm to Sun11:59PM)

duty is from 8pm to 8am, there’s two people on duty, and day shift is covered by the professional staff

Oh that’s devious we have it day to day so it’s like 6pm-10/11:30pm wknd, hold it overnight, turn it in 7-12am. If i had the duty phone all weekend i’d be so upset the whole weekend would be ruined. But also you’d do way less .. idk. Less flexibility tho

Bro that’s crazy. We have it 5pm-7am on weeknights, and Friday/Saturday it’s 24 hours (plus weekends there’s a backup, so most the time you’re on the whole weekend)

5:30 pm to 8:30 am (used to be 9pm to 9am but oh well). We have office people that ‘hold’ the phone during business hours but they didn’t hire enough so they are also trying to get us to do office hours

We have 5 RA staffed from Sunday Night- Thursday Night. Each night someone sits desk, and that day hold the phone from 7pm until the next day they had it off to whoever sits desk after them. For Weekends there’s two on duty. One holding the phone and doing rounds. The other sitting desk from 9pm-2am. Friday night+ Saturday Night. Cycle repeats

For us RAs hold the phones from 9pm-1am on week days and 9pm-3am weekends but there are also Hall managers that are on duty and on call. Those that are on duty have the same hours as the RAs. During the week, on call is 4:30pm-8 am and weekends is 4-30pm- 4:30 pm… pro staff have stuff covered during there working hours 8-4:30 and there is a pro staff on call after hours

my building’s duty is 7pm-7am, you have to stay in the building that entire time, during the day the phone remains at our front desk. on weekends, we buddy up and have an extra building round at 2am. one person holds the phone Friday night, one person holds the phone Saturday night.

Wait wait, what happens with the phone during the 1am hours? Does it get passed off to pro staff or someone else. We have a pro staff on call every night along with a director (student boss) but that’s about it. Regular RAs are the only ones that hold the phone
