Does anyone know the feeling when you try so hard to clean but everyone else doesn’t know how to clean, so it gets to a point where you yourself are having a hard time cleaning up? Like it’s not like you can teach them how to clean.

You can’t directly teach them but maybe you could do an agreement chore list/chart with each person being in pairs and doing a rotating schedule. The times you are cleaning with them you can gentle redirect or even say “so and so taught me this and I think it makes this easier”. It’s not your job to parent them or teach them so in the agreement have everyone sign a clause that they agree to pay part/full damage price at the of the lease in case their non cleaning leads to neglect of the property

I came to believe that my roommates don’t know how to clean. They don’t even clean up after themselves and then get upset when we’re telling them that the place is dirty looking and smelling. Culprit(s) always stay silent

I hate chore charts. I’d rather do it all myself at that point. I know it’s stubborn but Idk everyone should be responsible for keeping the place looking clean. It’s real simple. Make sure everything is put back after your messes and if something needs done you just do it.
