I love having roomies but god sometimes it makes me want to rip out my hair. Like stealing my forks, using all my cleaning stuff I got for the kitchen but then not even being down to get paper towels for us, not replacing stuff they used up. LIKE BFFR

Like if someone buys damn near ALL of the cleaning supplies for the house, the least u can do is buy some hand soap or paper towels like who raised u tf 😭

And like I brought a loooot of the cooking utensils/supplies & they don’t even want to buy a can opener😭 like at this point, I’ll just buy the stuff but it just feels so disrespectful

Idk maybe I’m just hangry but like I come home, and my forks r gone so I don’t have anything to eat with, someone used my shit but never washed it so I have to wash it first, but then I can’t dry it cuz there’s no paper towels cuz mine r used up, and then the hand towels I PROVIDED are dirty af so I can’t use those, I try to make my meal & we don’t even have a fucking can opener cuz no one is willing to buy one. LIKE HOLY fuck, i just want to make some food 😭

Yea I just thought it was common courtesy for everyone to help pitch in when living together rather than taking but not being willing to give. & I don’t want to seem like stingy and unwilling to share stuff when they ask. But yea, at least I know from now on I should do tht. I just don’t know how to go back on that without causing drama cuz I feel like they’re the kind of ppl where anything I say could be held against me which can be so stressful when trying to communicate things

Fuck walking on eggshells. They bold enough to do that so u gotta be bolder and just straight up take YOUR STUFF BACK. And if they ask just say ur peace. Fuck what they think cause you can easily switch it back on them and hopefully they take accountability

See this is how I wanna be cuz I’ve been a ppl pleaser for WAY too long & im not tryna fall back into that mindset ever again. BUT unfortunately when you live with ppl, they can make ur life a living hell so sometimes it’s low key worth it walking on eggshells 😭
