Roomate has illegal substances in our dorm, and I’m concerned about my future as I am required to report him and I make myself an accomplice by not doing so. If I do, he will get into a lot of trouble and room change is not an option. What should I do?

Most RA’s mind their business as long as he is not openly using them in the dorm their shouldn’t be an issue. If you are super concerned make up a personal conflict with your roommate to get switched, but I wouldn’t rat him out personally but I understand you’re liable as well but I would try to leave first

as long as you aren’t using any of those substances, you shouldn’t be held liable or accountable for anything he does. management and RA’s understand that these things happen
