honestly having a roommate who pays it themselves is almost worst if they are struggling financially because then, respectfully, you have to worry if rent will be paid or not. i can see it both ways though for sure.

yeah i had one of each type of daddy’s money and then a 3rd roommate who wouldn’t pay their portion for weeks because they paid it themselves at had awful spending habits
