Some days the only words I said to my roommates were bless you when they sneezed and sometimes like if they were in a different room and I heard them instead of saying it out loud I would just text them. Continued in comments

After a few weeks i noticed i was legit the only person who ever said bless you or anything when anyone sneezed even out of their entire friend group but then eventually whenever i sneezed they would all say bless you this also included their friends who i had once blessed

To me this goes to show treat others how you want to be treated and that the universe will return the energy you put out.

This also showed me that I might not be the warmest person to people idrk and get along with and i might keep to myself but my level of basic human interaction and social contracts does exceed a good amount of others in my demographic

I was the only one who would hold doors open and offer tea or meds when sick. And I’m not saying this to be like they were so rude I’m so nice because they were nice they just didn’t really have those manners.

And even one week when I was depressed and i hadn’t been saying bless you. They noticed after the 3rd sneeze of the day they both were like have you seen *my name* today is he alive? That made me smile for my presence or lack there of had been noticed. And they were on some level concerned

They would only ever openly ask me how I was when drunk tho maybe men of this generation are raised to think it is un-masculine to openly care. I think that is sad. I think caring is very manly. At times I did feel like their mother tho. And at times they treated me like their mother.
