i just did that on purpose this time. i washed clothes 4 days ago and tried to throw things off by doing it again so soon. thought i had accomplished it, but when my load hit the dryer i heard someone loading the washer. like what if i planned on doing 2 back to back loads? then they’ll use their ‘urgent laundry’ as an excuse to dump my laundry on the couch and not in the basket i left under the dryer.

Could be that they don’t remember to do laundry until they hear you but it could also be for the same reasons some people jump in the shower right before their roommates use the bathroom.

i’m sure it’s not on purpose, but it’s just so annoying. i only have 1 roommate so we could easily do laundry multiple days apart, but it has gotten more and more like this. both things combined, im getting annoyed fr. all i can do is try to talk to them.

Yeah the main points you need to cover are 1. “Urgent laundry” is not an excuse to dump your laundry out anywhere but your hamper 2. The laundry wouldn’t be “urgent” in the first place if they would remember to do their laundry on a day you’re not doing it.
