That is true, once you let them sit for a hot minute what’s left of the juice finishes saturating enough for a few more hits before it starts tasting burnt again. It’s also never a good idea to just throw them away bc if they come in contact with liquid from something leaking or gets damaged, the battery can either explode or cause a fire, that’s why they also advise to dispose of batteries properly and not directly in the trash (AA, AAA, etc.)

I have all of my dead ones in a shoe box in my bedroom at home for this reason, bc I haven’t found a place where they can properly be disposed
