debating calling whoever helps with animal neglect bc my rm's cat keeps stress meowing and it is now doing something that's rattling the walls. my rm is not home and keeps chalking it up to separation anxiety. but the shaking is a new development

Maybe you could call a pet store anonymously and be like “hey does this sound okay?”

a pet store staff member might not know as much as a someone who works at a shelter; i’d go with a shelter esp since they might be able to take the cat if it’s being neglected

idk i haven't been home all weekend but she didn't come back at all last night and wasn't there when i got home but this is also a new development too like we've been rooming together for over a year and she's had that cat since she moved in and it's never done this. i bought it up to her once before and she said "oh it's bc i came home at four am fed it then left again" idk if she's ever cleaned the litter box. i know that since being here that cat has gained some SERIOUS weight and she showed
