It depends on the school and the item but a lot of the time the roommate is scolded at the very least for “allowing it to be there” if not handed the same consequence.

imo i would let your RA know. its not worth them coming around to do roomchecks, finding it, then yall both get fucked. but it just depends on how your school would handle it tbh.

Oh definitely tell the RA. You were cool with it up until she started being dumb and is now risking YOU getting in trouble for HER contraband. That’s all that can really be asked of you in that situation, and most of the time, again depending on the item, they’ll either just confiscate the item or tell her to send it home.
