I fear I have to ask have u told her to straight up that it’s a problem. When you eventually clean them urself ur just reinforcing that pattern in her brain that it’s okay. It’s sad that ppl learn like that but the mind is a strong pattern learning machine

I feel like the size of a plate is minimal to the size of a carpet but who knows college dorms do be small asf sometimes

then that’s even more dismissible nothing u can’t sanitize after they are picked up. Maybe put them on a napkin but I’d want them to have to see the plates in all their glory. Unless u make the bag nasty too
