THIS IS NOT DEBATABLE. ITS MUCH EASIER TO WARM UP RATHER THAN COOL DOWN. GRAB BLANKETS, WEAR SOCKS. STOP PUTTING THE AC ON 80 YOU FUCKING LIZARD

To add to this: 80 is also not safe for pets and electronics as well as causing high humidity in the house which can lead to serious damage.

80° is crazy but whether it's easier to heat up or cool down is largely dependent on the weather/season

My roommate literally put the heat on 75 when it was 70 degrees outside. All of us said at the same time “put on your jacket!” Literally sweating in this house

disagreed on the first part, I find it much easier to cool down, but keeping a room at 80 degrees is fucking insane

I run very cold and have sensory issues with things that are long sleeved so I like the temp to be around 73-75, 80 is a little bit warm but better than 70.

To top it off we’re already in a humid climate I feel sticky 24/7. It’s so uncomfortable

i like it hot but not 80 😟 75 is much better. also it's better for my pet lizard to be warm.

Yes this is also true!! Cause when it gets freezing outside (which is rare where I live It was 80 on Christmas) I don’t mind turning on the heat at all

omg yeah if it's 80° on christmas (yikes 🥵) and your roommates are pumping it to 80° they're tweakin. i only added this cuz i live in a state that's cold like 9/12 months and we keep it around 70-75° and open windows if it gets too hot since it'll drop to like 50-60° in <10mins

This is crazy to me <//3 my roommate who gets cold likes it at 70-73 but I get so hot if it’s above 70 😭😭 like 70 is barely bearable to me if it were up to me it’d always stay at 68

almost all medications are directed to be stored in a place no warmer that 77 degrees—you can literally pick up any bottle rn and read it. there are others, sure, but there’s a reason cvs only needs a fridge for proscription meds and no heated storage!
