racism is a system and a set of interactions that reinforce that system. there is no history of structural discrimination against white people in this country and thus talking badly about white people is not reinforcing any racial hierarchy or discrimination. prejudice against white people is real, but it’s not racism if there’s no structure or history behind it

i agree i don’t think anyone should be saying “i don’t like this race or ethnicity or nationality”. if you don’t like someone just say “i don’t like this person”

if you want to recognize a difference between systemic racism and regular racism (which i would call prejudice), i think you have to recognize that it’s worse to reinforce systemic racism than to just be prejudiced. so no you don’t get to be racist

technically only one of these things is racism. white is a race but mexican isn’t it’s a nationality. it’s more considered prejudice because it’s a group of people instead of a race of people

Ok. If you feel the need to make a tweet make it more along the lines of “I may be cheap but at least I don’t keep money that doesn’t belong to me”. Don’t stoop to her level but lay out the situation for what it is
