Call the leasing office, say you are about to call animal control about a neglected cat in your unit and you’d appreciate them unlocking the door so they don’t have to use force. Leasing office will probably unlock the door. Don’t actually call animal control unless you feel you should. But once the door is open, check on the kitty and see if she’s ok. Leasing office would prefer to unlock the door rather than repair damages made by police or animal control :) (even if you’re lying about calling
