how do I deal with a roommate who is is not washing her hands ever, not showering, and is always locked in her room so I don’t ever get the chance to talk to her?

Why does it bother you? Why are you concerned if she is keeping to herself? If you’re worried about her mental health I would reach out to a student help center to have someone check on her… unless you aren’t enrolled in school.. then you can’t do anything unfortunately.

I’d lowkey just ignore her and frequently disinfect anything shared / hide kitchen-related items. I have a smelly roommate too so I get that the random wafts are unavoidable and terrible

not washing her hands is crazy gross if theyre using any shared items. "keeping to herself" is not the issue here

hygiene and sanitation affect everybody in a household even with little to no interaction. you don't need to interact with them for them to get you sick or weaken your immune system which can contribute to a significant lowering of quality of life. if it goes far enough it can make a space uninhabitable

because I have a really sensitive immune system and also she leaves raw meat uncovered in our fridge so the bad personal hygiene along with that is also a biohazard.

Reach out to the university and say it’s unsafe for you
