AITA for getting on my roommate’s ass about cleaning? She has been here for a month and never vacuumed, wiped the counters, cleaned the stove (after leaving god knows what on our crumb catchers whenever she cooks) and makes a bigger mess than her cat.
Not the asshole, adults should have jobs and also take care of themselves and their home people are just lazy or were raised by parents who don’t actually parent

What I think might make me the AH is that she works 40hrs a week (so do I) and some of her shifts are 10hrs long and last until the early AM’s, but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t do the bare minimum on her day off

define “getting on her ass” as in- did you guys have clear convos about expectations for cleaning duties beforehand?

I did, we agreed upon who would be doing what and when, she just hasn’t followed through. And getting on her ass in this case means reminding her over and over and over in increasingly annoying ways until she’s sick of it and either leaves or starts doing her side of the chores
