Ok I’m asking out of curiosity and not racism but is it common for black girls to not own shampoo? I’m genuinely asking bc my roommate only has body wash, a soap bar and feminine wash in the bathroom

I’m sure she does own shampoo lol but just to educate you a lil bit bc there’s nun wrong with this question. Different hair types require different maintenance black hair doesn’t require to be washed everyday bc it could be damaging! Hope that clears it up without saying too much

Maybe she washes it in the kitchen sink that’s by her bedroom door. She always showers after I’m in bed so that’s totally possible

yeah there’s a thing called wash days, it’s like a deep cleansing routine so she’s not going to wash her every day. some women can go two weeks without shampooing their hair. but she still will put products on to maintain her hair. it’s just shampoo strips oils
